Your turn. The best part of this? It will make you feel better and it might heal the relationship, but in the end it will mean no regrets. Start by sending a note when you are thinking about him or remembering something that was meaningful to you and do it in a way that it is obvious there is no expectation for reply. Repeat. Over and over. Whenever you want. Father's Day, big holidays....a thursday that you eat the ice cream cone that was the same flavor as the one he bought you that day you went to the lake. Whatever. You'll feel better knowing he knows your heart and after awhile he may want to re-enter the scene. Or not...but in the end, your regrets are gone and he knows that he means a lot to you even if you don't see each other as you should.Dr. Laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05928430831250572887noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7377914227915645124.post-56904310387925048122010-06-19T13:45:41.378-05:002010-06-19T13:45:41.378-05:00Hey Jenny--

I had not spoken to my Dad for over 20 years.. except for the quick sitings at weddings and funerals.. My Dad died on March 17th this year. I do not have any regrets. He died alone. no kids, no grandkids, no family around.. but he created that.. I did not.
In your case if you created it.. you might have regrets.. follow your heart!
Love ya !
Kellykellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00270278485457022184noreply@blogger.com
