Your feelings, and experiences, are far more prevelant among loving mothers than than you'll ever know. Another bonus for ending your relationship, that you didn't mention, is the example to your children. Wish I had a penny for every glass of pinot I poured prior to opening the Friday folders...the kids are watching. Intently. Best wishes to you in this new chapter. If anyone will emerge as a role model to others, it will be YOU. Blessings to you, girl. We would miss you and your crazy mad skillz.
By the way, I love me some Rush. Geddy Lee rocks.
I don't know if you watch American Idol or not, but there is currently a 16 year old contestant who looks like the love child between Geddy Lee and the lead singer from Simply Red. I want to put him in my pocket so he can alternate between singing "Holding Back the Years" and "Limelight" for me.Danielle Bethkenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7377914227915645124.post-18470814942027003212011-02-28T08:51:42.192-06:002011-02-28T08:51:42.192-06:00Thank you Faith. I have a couple of big demons to face this spring and I want to just tackle them and then get on with my life, with my kids, and my friends. It feels good to shed the weight of my past...the weight on my bones and the weight in my soul.the_happy_hausfrauhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07372773477740551839noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7377914227915645124.post-6941167900506842732011-02-28T08:40:09.490-06:002011-02-28T08:40:09.490-06:00Wonderfully written! Unhappy with myself, my life, my job, etc, the wine seemed to help me feel better about it all. But not really. Making changes in my life was harder and took more time than uncorking a bottle of wine, but I feel really good about myself again. And, while I still enjoy a glass of wine from time to time, it's now about enjoying the wine rather than numbing disdain for myself. You are incredibly courageous!Faith McGownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15080221023519676399noreply@blogger.com
